Although slightly more expensive than the sum of their parts, their convenience and ease of use mean that we are big fans for many needs particularly where mobility is important.

Our power stations come in 3 broad groups:
  1. under 2Kw
  2. between 2 and 5Kw and
  3. over 5Kw

Under 2Kw

These smaller devices are of interest mainly as portable sources of electricity, but probably NOT as primary energy solutions. Easily charged from equally portable solar panels, mains, or the car battery, they provide enough for lighting and mobile device charging away from a primary source, but neither inverter nor storage capacity are sufficient for much else. However they can also be viewed as an emergency limited backup source of power.
Their modest size and weight mean that this secondary role could be valuable in all our market sectors.

Between 2 and 5Kw

We offer a wide range of portable power station in this key capacity range from four different manufacturers:

The first three suppliers offer broadly similar products, but with apparently minor specification differences that can be critical. These 3 all offer additional slave battery packs and 4 can be added to the master unit so that total storage capacity is usually 5 times that of the original unit. Inverter capacity remains unchanged however.

Although useful additions to the energy systems of all our customers, only the Sterling Power is purpose designed and built for a life afloat. Hepway, Bluetti and Zendure can be successfully deployed on a boat with a solar panel installation, but their design is essentially focussed on RV, Caravan, and Camper Van customers.At home they provide power in the event of a power cut and some are purpose-built as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (“UPS”).

Over 5Kw

​These systems are designed to replace a conventional hybrid inverter/battery installation. They are in effect an “All-in-One” combination of those 2 elements of a complete solar system installation. They are available with inverter power ratings from 5000w to 7000w, and with almost limitless storage capacities in a domestic system context.
They need professional installation and are a complete energy solution for larger own consumption systems. Although installation costs are lower and configuration risks fall to zero, these solutions remain costly compared to the alternatives.
