Power Stations

Although slightly more expensive than the sum of their parts, their convenience and ease of use mean that we are big fans and have 2 ourselves – a Sterling Power Hady 3500 on our sailing yacht and a Bluetti AC200Max on the houseboat.

Our power stations come in 3 broad groups:
  1. under 2Kw
  2. between 2 and 5Kw and
  3. over 5Kw

The sections below provide more detailed information about each group

Under 2Kw

These smaller devices are of interest mainly as portable sources of electricity, but probably NOT as primary energy solutions. Easily charged from equally portable solar panels, mains, or the car battery, they provide enough for lighting and mobile device charging away from a primary source, but neither inverter nor storage capacity are sufficient for much else. However they can also be viewed as an emergency limited backup source of power.
Their modest size and weight mean that this secondary role could be valuable in all our market sectors.

Between 2 and 5Kw

We offer a wide range of power stations in this capacity range from three different manufacturers:
  • Bluetti
  • Zendure, and
  • Sterling Power Hardy

Although useful additions to the energy systems of all our customers, only the Sterling Power is purpose designed and built for a life afloat. Both Bluetti and Zendure can be successfully deployed on a boat with a solar panel installation, but their design is essentially focussed on RV and Camper Van customers

Over 5Kw

​They are available with inverter power ratings from 1000w to 5000w, and with storage capacities running from 700w to 12Kw or even more.
They need professional installation and are a complete energy solution for larger own consumption systems.

Product Types

For larger off-grid sites we also offer a highly attractive and competitive range of large batteries of mass storage batteries from 5 to 15Kw per unit.

Our Suppliers

We offer products from three different manufacturers:

  • Zendure, and
  • Sterling Power

The first two produce similar products mainly for dry land use, but with subtle specification differences of a kind that make it difficult to know which best suits your precise needs. Contact Us for advice before placing an order.
