Power stations combine the functions of solar controller, power storage (battery), and mains inverter in a single box that requires no configuration before use. On a sailing yacht this means that you have mains power at all times – not just when plugged into shore power. You can connect it directly to your existing 220v circuit or use the built-in mains plugs for any domestic appliance needing up to 2Kw of power. It also has 3 x 12v and several USB outlets that help reduce the drain on your main domestic batteries. Its modest dimensions mean that it can probably be stored under your chart table.

CHARGING FROM SOLAR IS BEST

Many yachts will already have one or more rigid panels installed charging their domestic batteries via a solar charge controller, but if they charge a power station from their existing solar they are reducing the charge going to the existing batteries – A PROBLEM.

OUR SOLUTION – 420w of FREE SOLAR PANELS

We provide FREE 2 x 210w flexible solar panels that you plug directly into your power station. Even if totally discharged, it will only take just over 3 hours for a full recharge. Now you have an additional 1440w of stored energy that powers a 2Kw mains inverter and that mains energy is available all the time – not just when you are connected to shore power.

The panels are light, measure 115 x 115Cms and come with fixings that make it easy to install on the bimini. The fore-deck is also an option since you can walk on the panels treading with care. Bear in mind however that solar panels suffer a major performance loss if shaded.

100% PLUG & PLAY

Even with this system, and with the sole exception of roof-mounted solar panels, HYPER is totally plug & play. Connect the components and plug the micro-inverter into your mains and see your energy bill fall through the floor! Great for you; less great for them!
