COMPLETE HOME SOLAR SYSTEMS that WE INSTALL

in MAINE et LOIRE & Neighbouring Départements

3 DIFFERENT SOLUTIONS

CONVENTIONAL

Conventional solar systems have three main components

  1. solar panels (rigid or flexible)
  2. a hybrid inverter that manages solar and mains input to provide domestic 220v current
  3. batteries in which to store excess solar energy for use later

This is the most cost effective solution but requires some configuration experience and is not advised if shading to some of the panels is a problem.

PLUG & PLAY

Zendure Balcony system 1

Plug & Play systems use micro-inverters, and are plugged directly into your existing domestic system – no complicated wiring, nothing to manage.

  • Solar panels can be rigid or flexible
  • Batteries are optional
  • Total energy management solutions available

Plug & Play is the only solution for many urban dwellers and is technically superior where shading to some panels is an issue. No configuration knowledge required.

POWER STATION

Power stations can form the basis of a domestic power system.

Connected to rigid or flexible solar panels and then to a domestic fuse panel, the power station includes

  • solar controller,
  • battery, and
  • inverter.

It is extremely versatile but remains expensive compared to the sum of its parts.

WHAT WE OFFER

Our business is based in Gennes, near Saumur, in Maine et Loire. Our team comprises a system configuration specialist, a roofer for solar panel installation, and an electrician to connect the system to your existing mains circuit in accordance with French regulations.

We specialise in smaller systems of up to 3Kw that require no permission from the local authority,  but are happy to go to 6Kw where consent is needed, but cannot be refused unless the location is in breach of planning requirements, most obviously by being too close to a church or monument of some kind.

We are reluctant to get involved in systems larger than that and dislike those that involve selling any energy surplus to your energy company. The bureaucracy is intimidating and we firmly believe that your best interest is to store surplus energy for your own consumption later.

HOW WE WORK

Contact Us via the WhatsApp link at the bottom of this page for an initial no obligation discussion. In France there are normally no “administration” problems for systems up to 3Kw except sites less than 300m from a “monument historique”, where it is impossible. Systems up to 6Kw are also reasonably hassle free as far as permission is concerned.

We will want to know as much as possible about where we can install the panels and how many. They need direct sunlight and shading is a big problem, but having them on the ground or over a car port are options too.

We will also need some idea of your consumption. Using electricity for cooking and water heating for instance are both a big problem, but pretty much everything else is OK as long as you don’t need to use all your domestic appliances at the same time.

If your site seems suitable for solar, we will make an appointment to visit you so that we can see exactly what is needed, and discuss possible system options with you. This visit will be followed up with a formal quotation. We carry no stock and will be buying for your needs so will want payment as we place orders. Assume that a 3Kw installation will cost between €4500 and €6500 depending mainly on how much battery storage is needed.
