Our choice for powerful rigid panels
SOLAR PANELS: Rigid, Flexible, or Portable?
Most sailing yacht owners opt for rigid panels installed on a steel arch over the transom. That is the best solution if there is that arch. If not, we favour the Zendure flexible panels installed on a bimini – a solution of which we have direct experience. If neither are available, hanging either rigid or flexible from the pushpit is a second best solution. Portable panels are rarely the right solution for a sailing yacht despite our liking for power stations.
