WHAT YOU NEED
Most motor-homes have 12v lead/acid domestic batteries charged, on the move, by the engine alternator; fine when constantly on the go, but not if stationery for a while. Running the engine just to charge the batteries is expensive and anti-social.
Few engine alternators are able safely to charge Lithium batteries so in this context 12v lead/acid may be preferable, although we do not sell them. Those with a large motor-home may want to consider the advantages of a roof-mounted solar panel system charging 48v LifePo4 batteries via a hybrid inverter because they will then enjoy the benefits of 220v mains electricity throughout their vehicle. This requires considerable installation skills.
The alternative is a power station perhaps powered by portable solar panels. This requires zero installation skills and offers the same or more benefits. The extra cost of the panels will be more than offset by having no installation costs. It is our preferred solution.
