Power stations combine an MPPT solar controller, a battery the capacity of which can readily be as much as 4000w, with numerous USB, 12v and mains 220v outlets. Charged either from solar panels, (with portable panels an option), from the mains, or, slowly from the engine alternator.
They are a little more expensive than the sum of their conventional parts but the total lack of installation costs and the ease with which they can be deployed make them a very attractive option for many caravan owners.
